Loggerhead® Club & Marina - Lake Okeechobee
|
|
|
December 19, 2011
Lake Okeechobee Outpost will close its doors effective 5:00 pm on January 29, 2012. As such we will no longer accept cabin, RV, tent, or marina reservations for stays beyond that date. This unfortunate decision is the result of the lengthy and ongoing construction on the dike and other matters beyond our control.
We would like to thank all our patrons and guests for their loyalty over the years. We sincerely appreciate our guests and thank you for your support. If you have already made a reservation for after January 29, 2012, please contact Debbie Sheller at (561) 924-7832 for further information.
Sincerely,
Lake Okeechobee Outpost

LOCAL KNOWLEDGE:
Located on the site of the former Pahokee City Marina, this completely rebuilt marina and cabin/camping area is a piece of living history on the waterfront. Pahokee means "Grassy Waters" in the Creek Language, and is named for the tall stalks of freshwater sawgrass that line the lake. Pahokee is the only town located directly on the shore of big Lake Okeechobee and is known as Palm Beach County's "Other" Coast. The Loggerhead Club & Marina - Lake Okeechobee is within walking distance of the downtown business district of Pahokee on Main Street.
